A field can be a wall & Common Grounds

By Lucas Rinzema

In the Netherlands, landscapes are almost totally dominated by animal industries. This screening of two short experimental films looks at milk industry, its landscapes and infrastructures and the ways in which these render cows invisible and, in contrast, at a lively reed swamp, a small place of refuge for animals of many species, and an exemplar of what liberation could look like. The films raise questions on the land grabs of animal industries, the ways in which these land grabs structure the visibility of farmed animals, and the aesthetics of activism. Lucas will shortly introduce the films, and we can have a discussion on these themes (and others) afterwards.
