Empty the Tanks and Cages: Ending Captivity for Entertainment

In this workshop, we explore why animals in zoos, dolphinaria and the entertainment industry must be part of the broader animal liberation conversation, and why ending their captivity matters for public awareness. We’ll examine the campaign strategy and how it challenges the normalization of animal exploitation. Especially the impact this has on children, who learn from a young age that confinement of animals is acceptable. Together, we’ll reflect and discuss on how this issue can carry a broader message about shifting cultural attitudes toward animals.
