Mindfulness

The concerns and anger surrounding government policy regarding animal suffering, climate change, refugees, and the rise of the far right are significant and influence our daily lives. Sometimes we no longer know how to cope with this, or we become exhausted by the fight for animal rights.

A beautiful and fair earth, a clean environment, and open borders for everyone. At some point, many activists become weary of action or develop burnout symptoms. The question is how, as an activist, you can avoid becoming exhausted while maintaining contact with yourself, others, and the earth. Through practical exercises, you will receive a number of tools to help you take good care of yourself as well as the earth. Breathing exercises are also covered that you can use during actions when stress becomes too great. The exercises are based on mindfulness techniques and personal experience.

Mindfulness is used by capitalism to get sick employees back to work quickly. Additionally, many mindfulness trainers are anti-vaxxers, and as a result, mindfulness has been cast in a negative light. At its core, mindfulness is a way of being aware of yourself, the people and other animals around you, society, and the earth.

The workshop is led by Deeez!, activist, photographer, and mindfulness trainer. He personally benefits greatly from living mindfully, which gives him depth in carrying out activism.
